Man arrested after police seize bladed weapon in Beeston disturbance

A man has been arrested after police seized a bladed weapon during an incident in Leeds.

It happened in Oakley Terrace, Beeston, at about 10.45pm on Friday.

Police were called to reports of an ongoing disturbance.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said a 34-year-old man was found in possession of a bladed weapon.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and criminal damage to properties.

The man was then taken to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
