A park in Wetherby has suffered over £1,000 worth of damaged by “senseless” vandals who set swing seats on fire.

The playground at Wetherby Town Council’s Scaur Bank site on Linton Road was damaged over the weekend.

A council spokesperson said: “Fires were set in two of the swing units, with the nest seat burned out and unusable. The toddler's climbing unit has also been damaged.
