Leeds weather: Hour-by-hour forecast as Met Office predict snow to fall in the city

A Met Office yellow warning for snow is in place for tomorrow (March 9) and Friday (March 10). The warning means heavy snow “has the potential to cause significant disruption on Thursday and Friday”.

People have been warned there is a slight chance roads may become blocked by deep snow, and a small chance of long delays and cancellations on bus, rail and air travel. Today will be overcast for much of the day, with light snow falling at around 3pm. Highs of 4C and lows of 0C are expected.

Thursday:

Thursday marks the first of the two days on which a snow warning is in place. Light snow will begin at around 9am and turn to heavy snow at midday. This will turn to sleet around 2pm, which will continue for much of the day until heavy snow returns around 10pm. Highs of 3C and lows of 1C are anticipated.

Friday:

The day will start off with heavy snow in the morning but there will then be sunny intervals by around 3pm. However, people should not be fooled by the appearance of the sun as highs of 4C and lows of -3C are expected.

Saturday:

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures reaching highs of 5C and lows of 2C.
