IT's been a long, dark winter and there's no doubt a bit of colourful springtime is long overdue.
So it’s congratulations to the residents of two Leeds communities who are hoping their gardening prowess can propel them to success in this year’s Britain in Bloom competition.
Kippax and Barwick in Elmet have been confirmed as two of the finalists in the annual Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) contest.
They are among 72 finalists from across the UK to have been selected from a field of more than 600 entrants.
All flower power to their elbow!
