Wakefield Trinity: Seasoned scrum-half Finn to join Newcastle Thunder in 2019
The 34-year-old Ireland international is returning to Wakefield in October to join their coaching staff but will continue his playing career in the north-east under coach Jason Payne.
“I’m not really ready to hang my boots up yet and Jason asked if I would be interested in coming to Newcastle and he sold the club to me,” Finn said.

Finn, who has played almost 400 games in a 16-year career and led Ireland in the 2017 World Cup, has signed a two-year contract with the Thunder.
Payne said. “I’m delighted we’ve been able to sign Liam for 2019, he is exactly what we have been after for a while.
“He is an experienced half who can get us around the field and control the game for us and there’s no better at that than Liam.

Meanwhile, Wakefield Trinity are offering fans a three-for-two ticket offer for the upcoming Super 8s home games against St Helens, Catalans Dragons and Warrington Wolves.
